HDG-350: Planetary
For light and medium-duty wrecker OEMs, the HDG-350 is built around a straightforward premise: dependable performance with a proven design. The HDG-350 worm gear architecture drives the winch’s performance characteristics while helping OEMs manage installation complexity and overall system cost.
Worm gear design is self-locking under load by nature, which means no separate brake system is required to hold a load in place. That simplifies the internal design, reduces the number of parts that can wear or fail, and improves the cost-to-performance ratio for applications that do not demand planetary-level efficiency. At the same time, the HDG-350 require sacrificing speed to achieve those benefits. With a 10,000 lb rated capacity and 32 FPM line speed, providing the speed and pulling capability required for light and medium-duty wrecker applications.
Bottom line for engineers and sourcing teams: the HDG-350 is a proven, field-tested option for wrecker builds where simplicity, durability, and cost control matter just as much as raw capacity.

Omega Series: Precision Load Control for High-Cycle Vehicle Transport
Car carrier and tow truck operators don’t fail winches with one big overload, they wear them out with thousands of small, repetitive load-and-release cycles, often on grades and often while a vehicle must remain secured mid-load as a chain or a strap is adjusted.
What sets the Omega apart is the features designed specifically for the loading environment. It uses a spring-loaded pull-and-rotate clutch design. The automatic ball-and-ramp load-holding brake maintains full rated capacity without operator input (critical when a vehicle needs to stay stationary on an incline during loading.)
