Where It All Begins: Celebrating the People Behind Every Lift, Pull, and Rotation

Where It All Begins: Celebrating the People Behind Every Lift, Pull, and Rotation | Ramsey Industries

Every product you see on the road, on a jobsite, or on a dealer's lot has a story that starts long before it reaches the market. It starts with manufacturing. Manufacturing is the root of everything that makes it to the shelf, to the truck, and into the hands of the people who rely on it. This Manufacturing Month, we want to share a little of our story and thank the people who write it every day.

Three Brands, One Vision

Ramsey Industries is home to three brands: Auto Crane, Ramsey Winch, and Eskridge. Together, we bring more than 80 years of American manufacturing experience to the industries that keep this country running.

Auto Crane is where the service crane story began. As the first service crane pioneer in the United States, Auto Crane helped shape how utility and field service crews lift and work safely today.

Ramsey Winch carries one of the longest histories of dependable pulling and lifting in the winch and hoist industry. Operators in tow and recovery, forestry, and infrastructure have trusted our hydraulic and electric winches for generations.

Eskridge brought innovation to rotation with the invention of Load-N-Lock shaft retention in our gearboxes, giving construction, foundation, and utility crews greater confidence every time a drive goes to work.

Building What Comes Next

We are proud of where we come from, and just as excited about where we are going.

This year, Auto Crane launched Ramsey Connect, our new IIoT technology that makes your crane and truck smarter. Alongside it, Auto Crane’s Power on Demand feature is helping fleets work more efficiently every day. It lowers fuel and maintenance costs, extends chassis life, streamlines job tasks, reduces acquisition costs, and helps companies meet their sustainability goals.

Auto Crane also offers Titan Armor, an industrial marine-based coating system adapted for truck bodies and cranes. In salt spray testing, it protects ten times longer than industry standard paints, so equipment stays in service and looking sharp for years to come.

Ramsey Winch introduced the Timberline Series Terrain Winch, purposely built for woodchipper applications. Its low free-spool design makes it easier for forestry and tree care crews to pull line and get the job done.

Rome Wasn’t Built in a Day

Behind every new product and every unit that leaves our facility is a team effort. Engineering, purchasing, production, quality, sales, and customer support all work side by side to bring each project to life. It takes patience, collaboration, and a lot of pride in the details. When it all comes together, the result is something magnificent: equipment our partners can count on.

The Beauty of Manufacturing

That is what we love most about manufacturing. It empowers the work we see every single day, on the road, in the field, and across the communities we serve. Every crane that lifts a transformer, every winch that recovers a vehicle, and every digger drive that sets a foundation carries the craftsmanship of the people who built it.

To our team, thank you for the care you put into every part, every weld, and every test. To our dealers, distributors, and OEM partners, thank you for trusting our work and carrying it into the field.

Happy Manufacturing Month.

Ramsey Powers America.
